Appoints Paul Cowley as Chief Geologist

| | ARCO APPOINTS PAUL COWLEY AS CHIEF GEOLOGIST
September 30, 2009 -- Vancouver, B.C.: Arco Resources Corp. (ARR: TSX-V) is pleased to announce that Mr. Paul Cowley, P.Geo., has been appointed as Arco's, Chief Geologist. Mr. Cowley brings over 30 years of experience in the mining exploration and production in worldwide.
Mr. Cowley has held technical and managerial positions exploring for gold, base metals, diamonds and coal worldwide. He has extensive experience in a major company and on projects including the Escondida, world-class copper mine in Chile, the Ekati diamond mine and the Slave gold project in the Canadian Arctic. The Slave gold project spawned 4 significant gold deposit discoveries amounting to about 5 million ounces of gold. Mr. Cowley has extensive involvement in junior mining companies at VP Exploration and directorship levels and was instrumental in putting the Lexington-Grenoble, gold-copper mine into production and has spent an aggregate of 4 years in Latin America.

Arco Mexico, holds a 100% interest in six mineral claim blocks located in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico. The Company has two 43-101 compliant projects, the Lachiguiri project (Ag,Pb,Zn) and the Tres Hermanas project (Ag,Pb,Zn). In addition the Company has begun to focus its efforts on working on the Cuatro Venados claims and the Taviche claims. Both of which are identified as historical producers for gold and silver. Initial sampling and geological mapping will begin in the next two weeks.
